Piston skirts are Molybdenum Bisulphide coated for faster break in and increased piston life.

 All pistons are heat treated with a T5 hardening and tempering cycle.

 VERTEX Standard "Replica" pistons                       Race proven to be a strong and hi performance piston. · Standard "Replica" Vertex pistons are OEM replacement pistons but with Vertex special, less expansive material, specialized heat treatment and special piston profile.

 VERTEX "Race" pistons                                               Available for a variety of models and are built with an exclusive internal form and a special external form with race profile shape, for higher compression and more horsepower. A single replacement ring is used on select race pistons models reducing frictional drag and giving higher RPM's. Race gas is recommended for Vertex "race" series pistons.

 VERTEX piston kits include piston, rings, piston pin and circlips.
